Position Description:
This position is a second senior position in a large FAC section, which reports directly to the Managing Engineer (ME). Incumbent backs up full scope of ME duties and other maintenance supervisory staff. Position is responsible for residential property maintenance program, and directly supervises a team of fifteen tradesmen. The employee is responsible for daily coordination and communication with customers, task allocation, policy adherence, safety controls, and equipment.
Qualifications required:
- EDUCATION:
University degree in Engineering, Construction and Maintenance Management or Architecture is required.
- EXPERIENCE:
Four years of progressive management responsibility in design, planning and estimating of construction projects within a large-scale maintenance program. One year shall include direct responsibility for on-site construction or maintenance, including supervision of maintenance staff.
- JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Advanced knowledge of a wide variety of construction and maintenance techniques, procedures, safety and respective terminology.
- SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to identify & analyze problems and to develop and evaluate solution options. Developed ability to prepare and monitor budgets, plan projects, set priorities, organize and manage work of a large technical workforce. Superb leadership, customer service and communication skills. Proficient user of MS Office.
DRIVING REQUIREMENT: Should have a valid driving license (category B) to operate official Embassy vehicle**
- Should be able to pass on the road driving test.
Good working knowledge (speaking/reading/writing) in English and Ukrainian is required.
