Summary:    

The Partnership Fund for a Resilient Ukraine (PFRU) is a multi-year, multi-donor funded programme managed by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).   

The aim of PFRU is to set improved conditions for the Ukrainian state, in partnership with civil society and the private sector, to lead on inclusive national recovery and revitalisation in the context of Russia’s aggression. This outcome is designed to facilitate and strengthen resilience for a more socially cohesive, inclusive, democratic, and prosperous Ukraine. The PFRU provides funds to Ukrainian and international delivery partners and implements projects based on research and evidence.   

The Coordination Officer will support the Reporting and Coordination Lead as well as SMT more widely in liaising with PFRU’s government and international partners, organise events and support visit logistics.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Lead visit planning for senior national and international stakeholders, from conceptualisation, media planning to delivery and logistics; 

  • Manage event operations (venue preparation, invitations, video conferencing, and presentation technology); 

  • Oversee events and proactively anticipate potential issues and ensure these are solved; 

  • Support the PFRU administrative team with the necessary logistical preparations for visits and events. 

  • Supporting the Reporting and Coordination Lead in carrying out Secretariat function to PFRU governing bodies and committees, including note taking for meetings, collaborating with programme staff to prepare presentations for governing committee meetings, and serving as a focal point for information requests from PFRU donors. 

  • With collaboration from technical and programme staff and external and public communications-focused staff, assist in the implementation of PFRU’s Communications Strategy. Provide editorial and strategic support to other communications staff, including the External Communications Officer. As part of this, support the development of PowerPoints, infographics, soundbites and short videos that neatly summarise information and improve information uptake. 

  • Maintain the PFRU dashboard and microsite. 

  • Any other duties assigned by the Senior Management Team or Coordination and Reporting Lead.  

Qualifications 

  • Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written.  

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in event management, communications, project management or reporting. Experience with donor-funded projects is desirable.  

  • An eye for detail and the ability to accurately factcheck documents.  

  • Demonstrated experience of excellent organisational skills, including ability to structure own work, manage input from others and deliver to tight deadlines.  

  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, humanities, communications, public relations, journalism or another relevant discipline preferred. A degree where the language of instruction was English is highly desirable.  

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including self-awareness, striving for continued professional development, ability to take ownership of one’s work and able to foster good relationships with colleagues.  

  • Proficiency in MS Office, with graphic design and photo/video experience preferred.   

  • Proficiency in Ukrainian and/or Russian is desirable.
