Position Summary
Led by Momentum Wheels for Humanity (MWH) and supported by the Ukrainian Association of Physical Therapy (UAPT), the Ukrainian National Assembly of People with Disabilities (NAPD), the Group of Active Rehabilitation (GAR), the Ukrainian Research Institute of Prosthetics, Prosthetic Engineering and Vocational Rehabilitation (URIPR), and Human Study e.V. in Ukraine, as well as the World Physiotherapy (World Physio), the Strengthening Rehabilitation Services in Health Systems (SRSHS) project will continue to strengthen rehabilitation service delivery systems and build workforce capacity in Ukraine.
In Ukraine, MWH will strengthen workforce and service delivery by supporting the establishment of AT cabinets in healthcare facilities, strengthening workforce capacity through the clinical education of physical therapists based on national regulatory documents and international standards, and expanding access to SCI clinical guidelines and training. In addition, MWH will work with local and international partners to build the capacity of P&O technicians in upper and lower limb prosthetics and orthotics, conduct informational campaigns and case management services, and advance PT professionalization.

Expected Duties and Responsibilities
The SCI Assistant \ Consultant will contribute to the improvement of medical and rehabilitation services for people with spinal cord injuries by organizing the first national conference on spinal cord injuries in Ukraine and organizing a two-week supervision by international experts for local rehabilitation specialists at TMU. Reporting directly to the Senior SCI Coordinator, the SCI Assistant \ Consultant shall assume the following specific responsibilities for the length of the consultancy:
- Assist in the implementation of the conference program.
- Assist in the development and content of the conference website.
- Communicate with Ukrainian and international speakers of the conference.
- Assist in the formation of the list of conference participants.
- Assist in the formation of the conference content in cooperation with the speakers.
- Assist in the preparation of handouts for the conference.
- Together with the SCI Momentum team and TMU specialists, assist in developing a visit program for each international expert.
- Assist in communication with international experts regarding the supervision program.
- Assist in communication with local rehabilitation professionals regarding the supervision program.
- Facilitate the formation of a list of patients for supervision in conjunction with local specialists.
- Prepare and submit monthly consultancy report
- Provide information/responses for ad hoc requests from the donor, SRSHS partners, or MWH HQ as needed
- Provide inputs to monthly, quarterly, and/or ad hoc donor and internal reports as requested, ensuring that reporting is accurate and timely.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a rehabilitation or related field
- Work experience with international experts in the field of medicine and rehabilitation
