DAI is seeking highly qualified candidates to occupy full-time Project Assistant position to work on the recently awarded Promoting Integrity in the Public Sector Activity (Pro-Integrity), a $90 million, multiyear contract funded by USAID.

PROJECT BACKGROUND 

 The Promoting Integrity in the Public Sector Activity (Pro-Integrity) will concentrate on addressing three narrow development challenges within its manageable interest and influence to overcome corruption risks at the national institutional level, local government level, and related to Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction. Specifically, these include: 

  • Anti-Corruption Institutional Challenges: Nascent anti-corruption institutions facing depleted human resources and budget austerity during wartime face challenges guaranteeing adequate corruption prevention, deterrence, and the inevitability of punishment for corruption offenses. 
  • Weak Anti-Corruption Controls in Local Government: Weak anti-corruption compliance and control measures in local communities, depleted human resources, and humanitarian emergencies during wartime challenge adequate corruption prevention, deterrence, and the inevitability of punishment for corruption offenses at the local level. 
  • Recovery and Reconstruction Corruption Risks: Unresolved corruption risks due to the lack of internal control, non-transparent procedure, and weak civil oversight over key reconstruction processes, including infrastructure restoration, asset management, environmental recovery, create risks for transparent and accountable reconstruction and recovery. 

The Pro-Integrity Activity will pursue a problem-driven approach addressing the root causes through targeted objectives aligned with mission and U.S. government strategy.  

 POSITION DESCRIPTION 

 The Project Assistant will support the team of the Objective [#] of Pro-Integrity Activity. The primary role of the Project Assistant is to provide administrative and logistical support to ensure the smooth operation of project activities. This includes assisting with project planning, coordination, and reporting, as well as facilitating communication among project team members and stakeholders. In addition, the Project Assistant can be assigned, where appropriate, to support technical activities within the Objective.  

 KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

 Administrative Support: 

  • Assist in the preparation and dissemination of project documents, including reports, meeting agendas, and minutes. 
  • Maintain project files and records in an organized manner. 
  • Handle routine correspondence and communication for the project. 

 Logistical Coordination: 

  • Coordinate logistics for project activities, such as workshops, training sessions, and meetings. 
  • Arrange travel and accommodation for project staff and participants as needed in close cooperation with the project’s Operational team. 
  • In close cooperation with the Operational team of the project, manage the procurement of project supplies and services, ensuring compliance with project guidelines. 

 Project Planning & Implementation: 

  • Assist in the development and updating of project work plans and schedules. 
  • Contribute to the monitoring and tracking of project progress against milestones and deliverables. 
  • Provide support in the preparation of project progress reports and presentations. 

 Technical support  

  • Assist in the development of technical documents, position papers and other relevant products. 
  • Undertake any technical tasks as assigned by the Objective Lead. 

 Communication & Outreach: 

  • Facilitate communication among project team members, partners, and stakeholders, assist in organizing meetings. 
  • Assist in organizing and promoting project events and activities. 
  • Contribute to the development and dissemination of project communications materials, such as newsletters and social media posts. 

 QUALIFICATIONS 

 Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, International Relations, or a related field required. 

 Experience: 

  •  2 years of relevant administrative or project support experience required, preferably in an international development context. 
  • Experience working with USAID or FCDO-funded projects is an advantage. 

Skills & Competencies: 

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Ukrainian and English. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with team members and stakeholders. 
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices is a plus. 

 Personal Attributes: 

  • Demonstrated commitment to integrity, transparency, and ethical behavior. 
  • High level of flexibility and adaptability to changing project needs and priorities. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
