Спеціаліст з комунікацій Київського офісу Реєстру збитків для України / Communication Officer for Kyiv Office of the Register of Damage Caused by the Aggression of the Russian Federation Against Ukraine
Вимоги: As a minimum, you must:
- hold a higher degree and professional qualifications in journalism, communications, public relations or a related field;
- have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in media and communication, preferably in international organisations
- have an excellent knowledge of Ukrainian (mother tongue level) and a very good knowledge of one of the two Council of Europe’s official languages (English);
- have an ability to draft clearly and concisely in Ukrainian and English;
- be a citizen of one of the member states of the Council of Europe, and fulfil the conditions for appointment to the civil service of that state;
- have discharged national service (military, civil or comparable);
- not be the parent, child, stepchild or grandchild of a serving staff member of the Council of Europe;
- be under the age of 65 years at the date of closure of this vacancy notice.
Умови роботи: If successful, you may be offered employment based on temporary contracts at grade B4. Employment is limited to 31 December 2025 and may be extended. You will receive a basic monthly gross salary of €2.315.99 which is exempt from national income tax. This salary may be supplemented by other allowances depending on your personal situation. You will be affiliated to a pension scheme and social and medical insurance. You will also benefit from 32 working days leave per year and other advantages (including flexible working hours, training and development, possibility of teleworking, etc.).
Обов’язки: As a Communication Officer your role will be to:
- contribute to the design and implementation of strategic communication and visibility plans for the activities of the Register and its Kyiv Office in Ukraine under coordination of the Head of the Kyiv Office of the Register and the communication team in the Register’s Headquarters in the Hague;
- draft and/or review the press-releases, news items and other communication materials on the activities of the Register and its Kyiv Office on the ground;
- support the preparation of communication materials (including the stories of potential claimants highlighting the impact of the Register, written or filmed interviews, photos, infographics, short videos, presentation materials); co-ordinate their distribution through media contacts, public relations events, including the Register social media;
- contribute to the developing of the RD4U Kyiv Office webpage and social media in English/Ukrainian; manage relevant social media accounts of the Kyiv Office of the Register such as Twitter and Facebook, including by posting main messages from the Headquarters; following the communication plan draft posts to the Register social media accounts on the activities of the Register and its Kyiv Office on the ground;
- contribute to the developing and implementation of information campaigns and other awareness raising activities on the role and the mandate of the Register, and the claims` submission; liaise with the stakeholders engaged into implementation of the information and awareness raising campaigns;
- create, format and disseminate regular updates on key developments related to the Register and its Kyiv Office activities in Ukraine;
- contribute to developing and designing of leaflets, brochures, guides, other information materials and thematic publications covering the Register-related matters;
- organise the Register and its Kyiv Office media events in Ukraine; arrange press conferences and interviews with journalists; prepare and distribute media releases; establish and maintain media relations and liaise with media as necessary to create channels for multiplication of messages;
- collate and analyse media coverage; contribute to the monitoring and reporting on communication;
- ensure that all visibility actions are carried out in accordance with the Council of Europe policies, in particular respecting a gender-sensitive approach, and the communication and visibility requirements of the Register;
- contribute to selection of local media services providers and ensure content-related and administrative support to the contractors;
- work with the Head of Kyiv Office of the Register and the communication team in the Hague.
- provide communication advice to the RD4U Kyiv Office team members;
- undertake official journeys in connection with your duties;
- perform other job-related tasks as required.
