Description of Consultancy
Resonance is conducting a multi-year Research and Evaluation with the United States Department of State (DOS) Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations (CSO) department, where we are conducting monitoring and evaluation activities for Ukrainian Programming. Resonance is looking for an evaluation research assistant to support the evaluation of a program focused on the integration of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Ukraine.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Translate data collection tools from English to Ukrainian
- Take notes for select key informant interviews (KII) and focus group discussions (FGDs) with the program’s stakeholder groups.
- Participate in meetings with evaluation team members and others as needed.
- Support the Evaluation Research Specialist with KII and FGD data collection.
- Support Evaluation online survey collection.
- Translate KII and FGDs notes from Ukrainian to English
- Save documents in designated files/folders.
- Schedule KII interviews for the team as needed.
- Complete the UNICEF Ethnics Training certification course
Deliverables:
- Translated data collection tools from English to Ukrainian.
- Notes from KIIs.
- Notes from FGDs.
- Translated notes from KIIs and FGDs from Ukrainian to English.
- Translation of KII documents from Ukrainian to English, as needed.
Period of Performance:
- Level of Effort (LOE) is approximately up to 25 days from 16 September to 31 December 2024.
Position Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree required.
- 1 year of experience note taking and research.
- Spoken and written fluency in English required.
- Experience translating from Ukrainian to English and vice versa.
