Радник/ця з комунікацій / Communications Advisor

Overseas Strategic Consulting, LTD (OSC) is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Communications Advisor in support of the USAID SAFEMed. The position is full-time and based in Ukraine, Kyiv.

List of Key Duties of the Employee:

1. Contribute to team cohesion, providing ongoing strategic advice and input on communications strategy and tactics.
2. Contribute to smooth internal coordination with technical and MEL teams.
3. Participate in implementation of the strategy and its translation to monthly , and quarterly plans and deliverables; participate in coordination meetings with MSH; contribute to track results of communications activities.
4. Work with communications agenda on specific communications activities and support ongoing coordination to ensure high performance of our vendors.
5. Lead preparation and distribution of the monthly newsletter, success stories, factsheets, and other project-wide communications materials; maintaining and growing list of recipients receiving the newsletter.
6. Lead selected activities with government counterparts, including negotiating scopes of work, ongoing monitoring with technical staff, troubleshooting issues, and reporting outcomes.
7. Help select communication vendors, work with communications agencies on specific communications activities. Support ongoing coordination to ensure high performance of our vendors.
8. Provide strategic input into events including coordination events that link to those communications activities the TA is responsible for.
9. Support creation of the design concept, planning for, and implementing the End-of-Project events.
10. Contribute to social media strategy as agreed with manager.
11. Contribute to all quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports on SAFEMed activities for USAID with results and progress visualization.
12. Working closely with manager, actively collaborate and coordinate with other USAID funded projects, government agencies, NGOs, and other organizations on communications issues; keep abreast of latest development and professional norms, standards, tools, and methodologies.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Excellent spoken and written English and Ukrainian.
• BA (or equivalent) or a higher degree in communication, public relations, journalism, or other relevant discipline.
• Experience with graphic design, with special emphasis on infographics.
• A minimum of five years’ experience in communication, journalism, public relations, or other relevant field.
• Experience in technical writing and demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into easily digestible communication materials.
