in the educational programme – cooperation between DW Akademie and Public Media Academy Juniors of Suspilne

TERMS OF REFERENCE
DW Akademie is Deutsche Welle’s centre for international media development, journalism training and knowledge transfer. Our projects strengthen the human right to freedom of expression and unhindered access to information. DW Akademie empowers people worldwide to make independent decisions based on reliable facts and constructive dialogue.
DW Akademie is looking for a coordinator for the development of the MIL visual creations (Pop-up MIL Escape room), who is willing to join the project in the period of February,3 2025 – March, 31 2025 to support the DW Akademie and Public Media Academy Juniors of Suspilne team (PMA).
This work envisages a mix of experience as an event manager/coordinator and an administrator.
The selected applicant will be expected to provide a range of deliverables:
- Deliverables
- Doing research on the service providers: game developers, experts in storytelling for escape rooms, designers, etc.
- Support to the project team DW Akademie and partner PMA Juniors in the negotiations and quality check.
- Negotiations with the short-listed venues for the Pop-up MIL escape room campaigns.
- Post-preparation: support to the administration team of DW Akademie with the invoices from the providers or information needed for the audit.
Communication
- Frequent communication with DW Akademie project team and PMA juniors project team regarding current tasks.
- Qualifications
Essential
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in working in event management.
- Experience in events coordination.
- Fluency in Ukrainian and English (or German).
- Good communication skills and patience to work both with the DW Akademie project team and Public Media Academy Juniors of Suspilne team.
Desirable
- Having contacts with the service providers from the creative industry.

- Participation in the regular (mostly bi-monthly) meetings to provide feedback
- Expected engagement time frame: February,3 2025 – March, 31 2025.
- Expected scope of work: up to 8 working days per month.
